Nothing against people with Art degrees, just isn't much out there, unless you do go education. Art Education you can occasionally find jobs.

good luck with it azzer!! I havent had any luck with doctors around here...but sometime some will.
and yes, my mom asked me when I was attending college what I planned to do with my degree in art--I said nothing, since I had a double major at the time I was planning on using my other major (which I didnt)...nor did I use the few things I minored in either--employers were NOT looking for libreal arts majors when I graduated (as my husband found out 2 year later when he graduated with a ba in geology--they wanted bs not ba--ba says you took too many crummy classes that had nothing to do with your degree, while bs...now THAT says you ONLY know your subject matter and cant do anything else for squat!)....not that things have changed much in the 25+ years since...
so yes I too am a burden on society...however, I do for my 'family' so I am not a total loss

Thanks Cosy, i really hope these Doctors know what to do...
Oh my, Majors and Minors, we call Majors for Hovedfag, don't know what we call minors (except illegal tihi).
3 times i've tried to get an education, but when you have Social Anxiety, Classrooms are not all that fun to be in
Cosy, you're not a burden, you've just been very damn unlucky, that is all.
Burden on the society are people can are too lazy or too fat to do anything by themself.

I met my wife as she entered her A-Levels she was 17. She did a BS in Business Studies. I have never had a qualification to my name other than the few GCSE's I managed to scrape through school with while I was in and out of foster care.
My wife is now 32 and she is a Director of a company, and I am now 40 and literally just starting college to train as a joiner/apprentice . I supported my wife as she qualified and changed jobs etc.. and now it's my turn she said, even at 40 I could change my whole life, can happen for anyone if it can happen for me.
Keep your head up

I guess I was lucky enough to get through college and be able to use my degree atm... And essentially having two majors is nice. Cause if I don't want to teach anymore, I can go get a job with my biology degree. Yay science!
Good for you for going back. My mom didn't go to college until her late 30's because she stayed at home watching me and my three siblings. Now she is a kindergarten teacher and has been for almost 10 years.

True, having pain and not knowing why or any kind of real long term relief is definitely hard. I remember having pains in my side for about 8-9 years of my life. No idea what was wrong until I was going into 4th grade. They finally figured out that my left kidney was dying. They took out the dead half and I feel much better these days.

It wasn't too pleasant. Flared up at least once a month for anywhere from 2 days to a week. The pain sucked, when it hurt I didn't get hardly any sleep and was constantly sick. Definitely was not a pleasant experience nor one I wish upon anyone else.

Yeah i can imagine it being totally devastating to have it like that, mine os "only" once 2-3 months, and last 3-4 days, with 1 month sickness.
which also is bad, but if only i knew what was wrong, the not knowing is the shÃtty part of it, i don't care if i have anything bad and will die, as long as i know what's wrong. :P

Ya that was tougher on my parents then myself I think. I was too young at the time to really care much about figuring out what was wrong. All I knew was that it would go away at some point and I would be okay again. I think my parents were more concerned about what was causing it and were frustrated with the doctors not being able to figure it out. Wasn't until I had pain for 2 straight weeks that they finally sent me to the hospital for a whole bunch of tests.

That is one time it did work out. When I was in high school and busted up my knee (couldn't bend it at all without extreme pain), they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Not even a specialist.

oh yeah we pay for going to the doctor--my last appointment to see just my gp was $136 NOT covered by insurance (hadnt met my deductable for the year)...wont even talk about specialists (my ent--ears nose and throat--cost me $250 for a general appointment!)....doctors and medical costs in the usa are totally out of control.---you can go bankrupt by just having a small problem or accident!
some people have good insurance, but since mine is thru my hubby's company and most companies dont want to spend any money on that stuff--you get craap insurance that covers NOTHING and costs hundreds each month!
